Yes, you read that right. A center is the number 2 player on this list. As a former center, it’s about time that someone showed them some love. So for all of the under-appreciated centers out there, this is for you. Like many players on this list, it’s not surprising that Paradis is having a good 2016 campaign. He had a pretty solid 2015 as a second year player.

What makes his rise special is where he was drafted. He was taken in the 6th round by Denver out of Boise State with the number 206 pick overall. 6th round picks out of small schools like Boise State usually don’t stick around in the league for too long, so when one not only sticks around but succeeds to the level that he has, it’s something to be rewarded and recognized.

Half way through the year and PFF has ranked Paradis as the number 1 center in the entire league. Playing center is a very cerebral position considering you’re the one making the line calls for your team. For a 3rd year player picked outside the Top 200 to be the best at this position at any point in the league is impressive.

From one Matt to another, way to represent for us fat guys.
