10 Oldest Footballers Called Up For World Cup 2018
6. Felipe Baloy (37) - Panama
Another Panamanian, and this time it's the country's captain! 37-year-old Felipe Baloy actually plays for the same club as fellow countryman Blas PĂ©rez, with the pair turning out for Guatemalan club Municipal. He's the second oldest captain at the World Cup and one of the oldest players at the tournament overall.
Baloy recently crossed into the three digits mark for international caps, with 101 to his name so far and was one of the nation's big players in a surprising and successful qualifying campaign. He's the sixth most capped Panama player of all time, with an impressive international career that started way back in 2001.
Baloy is known as a versatile and dependable defender, keeping things tight at the back and providing a good aerial presence. He hasn't got the pace of his former years, so tends to stay back most of the time but can pose a threat at corners. His positive attitude and leadership talents also earned him the captain's armband, and he'll surely be feeling incredible pride when he leads out his country for their first ever World Cup appearance this summer.
