The odds of Ryan Sessegnon, a 17-year-old, uncapped, Championship player, getting on the plane to Russia are incredibly low, but it's a testament to how good the Fulham youngster has been that many England fans are wholeheartedly suggesting he deserves a spot in the England World Cup squad.

Sessegnon, a left back by trade, has scored an astonishing 15 goals in the Championship this season. He's had a breathtaking breakout year and is already being linked with big budget moves to top tier clubs. Theo Walcott was famously a surprise inclusion in England's 2006 squad and Three Lions fans are suggesting that Sessegnon could follow in the Everton man's footsteps.

England fans have a habit of getting a little too excited when it comes to bright young stars, but Sessegnon seems to have bags of talent and is clearly worth getting excited about. He was even a nominee for the PFA Young Player of the Year Award, alongside the likes of Harry Kane and eventual winner Leroy Sane.

The youngster will undoubtedly play for England at some point in the very near future, but the World Cup might come a little too soon for him.
