Newcastle fans don't need anyone to tell them why Alan Pardew is one of the least welcome men on Tyneside at the minute, even if Dennis Wise is attempting to claim it's only because he is Southern. In truth, Newcastle fans could probably forgive the manager's many transgressions if he was doing his job on the pitch, but with the club slipping to the bottom of the form table for Premier League sides in 2014, that simply is not happening. With points at a premium, fans have turned on Pardew in their thousands, and even those who remain committed to the manager seem only to do so now because of the lack of alternatives. His tactical knowledge is badly lacking, he fails to get a good response out of his players even despite claiming they are fighting for him, and worst of all he won't quit. Even Ruud Gullit walked away after starting the season with seven games without a win, and yet Pardew persists. It's now difficult to see how he will come back from this if at all.
