10 Player Spurs Shouldn't Have Got Rid Of

3. Sandro

Spurs signed Sandro back in 2010 from Internacional in his homeland of Brazil. An unconventional Brazilian player, Sandro - who has seventeen caps for his country - is a tenacious, tough-tackling defensive midfielder who is all about getting stuck in and winning the ball back rather than being the kind of flair player his country is famous for and most associated with. Spurs fans affectionately called him "the Beast" as a result of this. On deadline day in September 2014, the club sold him to former White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp's Queens Park Rangers in a move that baffled Spurs fans. He was startlingly underused at Spurs and, having been left with the likes of Benjamin Stambouli, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and Paulinho, you can't help feel that Spurs have downgraded by selling him.
