Anton Ferdinand became the second of the Ferdinand brothers to leave West Ham in a lucrative deal; this time to Sunderland for £8 million. When Rio Ferdinand signed for Leeds in a record breaking £18 million deal, we found him difficult to replace, but when his brother Anton came along fans saw many of the same traits and the potential for a star defender arose once again. However this just wasn't to be. Whereas Rio Ferdinand's career flourished at his following club, and led to an even bigger move to Manchester United, Anton's did not. Struggling to find form for his clubs, he now plays his football in the Championship for Reading.
