Andrew Matthews/EMPICS SportDuring the summer of 2012, both Manchester United and Inter Milan were interested in signing Lucas Moura, then of Sao Paulo. However, the midfielder rejected their overtures in favour of a move to Paris Saint-Germain. So far, it is not a decision that has worked out very well. The attacking midfielder has been given only limited opportunities to impress at the French side, and though he has won two Ligue 1 crowns, has had to settle with playing a bit-part role at the club. In his first year at PSG, he managed just 10 appearances and started one game all season. In his second campaign, the midfielder made just seven starts. Given United's desperate need for midfield reinforcements over the last two years, it would be fair to assume Moura would have walked straight into their first team and featured far more prominently than he has currently. Instead, his head was turned by the money in France and he has paid for it by warming the bench ever since.
