10 Players That Leicester City Could Sign To Avoid Relegation

5. Leroy Fer (QPR)

Fans of the Premier League should be familiar with this dynamic Dutchman. Having scored ten goals in his relatively short career in England, the midfielder would be a great option for any team looking to firmly establish themselves within the Premier League. Fer was previously tempted to English shores by Norwich City in a reported £4 million deal from FC Twente and soon endeared himself to the Carrow Road faithful. However, following the Canaries' relegation at the end of the 13/14 season, he soon departed for the bright lights of London and Queens Park Rangers. Despite impressing yet again (scoring six goals and providing 4 assists for the Hoops), the Dutchman was unable to prevent a second successive personal relegation and will surely soon be on the move yet again. With his penchant for attacking play, Fer would bring a great amount to the Leicester City team and would surely help the Midlands team in achieving a third season of Premier League football. A full Netherlands international since his debut in August 2010, Fer brings an impressive amount of experience for a 25 year old. The former Feyenoord favourite has collected an impressive haul of 250 club appearances and has scored 47 goals. On his day, the Dutchman is capable of the spectacular, as shown by his outstanding goal from 25 yards out in QPR's 2-1 win against Newcastle United last season. Fer brings strength, pace and intelligence to the middle of the park and would be an asset to any team outside of the Top 4. With Leicester City seemingly willing to spend big money this season, would the Foxes be able to lure Fer to the Midlands with the promise of yet more top-flight football?
