Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen burst onto the global radar with a string of stunning performances at World Cup 2014. However, the Dutch custodian had been making a name for himself for a full season leading up to that tournament and had played a major role in helping the Amsterdam club win a fourth straight Eredivisie title. His club surrendered their title to PSV Eindhoven last term, but Cillessen was named Ajax Player of the Year and he has continued to show his star quality. The Amsterdam Arena has been the perfect place to hone his skills. However, the 26-year-old has outgrown Dutch football and needs a move to further his career. Whispers of a move to Manchester United have emerged this summer. That move would depend largely on the future of current Red Devils star David De Gea, but there is a chance that the Ajax shot-stopper could trade Amsterdam for Lancashire at some stage before the transfer window shuts. Cillessen has the potential to be one of the worlds top goalkeepers. Sadly, hell only achieve this if he is allowed to test himself in one of Europes top four leagues.
