Bongani Khumalo is the one player on this list who is still at Spurs - and he has been since the start of 2011 - but you'd be forgiven for not even knowing who he is. Since impressing enough at the 2010 World Cup with his native South Africa to earn the move as a then-23-year-old, Khumalo - now 27 - hasn't made a single appearance for the club. He has been loaned out to the likes of Preston North End, Reading, PAOK and Doncaster Rovers the latter where he finally found his level but hasn't secured a permanent move away from the club and it, quite literally, their forgotten man. As a central defender, Khumalo has the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Younes Kaboul, Federico Fazio, Vlad Chiriches, Eric Dier and Milos Veljkovic ahead of him in the pecking order at White Hart Lane and it is pretty much guaranteed he will never play for the club.
