10 Players Who Didn't Fulfil Their Potential At Newcastle
4. Titus Bramble
The other Ipswich academy graduate, Bramble linked up with former teammate Kieron Dyer when he signed in 2002 for £6m. Bramble was seen as a major prospect and was signed fairly young by Bobby Robson - who seemingly agreed that the player would be a future England international. Robson had many ups and downs with his transfers during his years at Newcastle and unfortunately Bramble turned out to be one of the most disappointing: however during his time at Newcastle, he managed to get games consistently through every season. By the end of his second season, Bramble was beginning to be seen in his true light and was even voted as the worst Premier League defender by publication The Fiver. Bramble was signed at such a high price considering his eventual playing ability. While at Ipswich he played some good football, but once again, the party lifestyle of Newcastle got the best of another player, and Bramble seemingly threw his talent - which some would contest ever existed - away.
