Anthony Elding has had more clubs than Tiger Woods but his football career began to go on a downward spiral after he secured what would have been a dream move from Stockport County to Leeds United.

No-one can blame the forward for jumping at the opportunity to leave Edgeley Park for Elland Road and after scoring 26 goals in 52 games for Stockport, he was full of confidence.

However, the 26-year-old would score just one goal in nine games for Leeds before he was deemed surplus to requirements without ever being given a sustained run in the first team.

His one goal came off the bench against Cheltenham Town and he did not complete a game for Leeds, making just four starts before he was sold to Crewe Alexandra.

During his first six months at Gresty Road, he scored just one goal and was eventually shipped out to Lincoln City. Since that temporary move, he has made as many as 11 separate permanent or loan transfers.

Bizarrely, Elding was a success in the Hungarian Premier League with Ferencvaros in the 2009-10 but he would never enjoy another good spell in England and now competes in the League of Ireland Premier Division.
