Egil Ostenstad's career highlight undoubtedly came in 2006 when he netted a hat-trick in Southampton's 6-3 victory over Manchester United at The Dell but seven years later, the striker was still competing in the Premier League, albeit with a much weaker strike-rate. After scoring just twice in 25 appearances during the 2002-03 campaign, Ostenstad would jump at the chance to try to revive his career at Ibrox but he endured a frustrating period at Rangers, making just two league starts as Alex McLeish's side surrendered the league title to Celtic by a massive 17 points.
