10 Players Who Probably Regret Leaving Leeds United
7. Ross McCormack
After scoring 28 league goals during the 2013-14 campaign as well as penning a new four-year contract, it seemed unlikely that Ross McCormack would leave Leeds United the following summer, especially for a club also competing in the Championship.
However, that is exactly what happened in July 2014 as the attacker signed for Fulham, who were willing to pay £11m for his services. It was a huge statement of intent for a club who had suffered relegation from the Premier League but with McCormack reportedly attracting interest from the top flight, his switch to Craven Cottage will always be questioned.
From a personal perspective, McCormack has been a huge success with over 40 goals coming in his first two seasons but the club have struggled and they look a long way away from earning a return to the top division.
There is a possibility that McCormack will be allowed to leave this summer should Fulham receive a bid close to what they paid for the Scot but he will be 30 in August and it is a travesty that a player who scores for fun at the second tier is still awaiting his Premier League bow.
