10 Players Who Will Rule Premier League In 2020/21

9. Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea)

Signed this summer from Ajax, Hakim Ziyech has been one of the most sought-after forwards in European football for a good couple seasons now. There was no shortage of potential suitors for the Moroccan forward, which made the €40 million transfer fee Chelsea had to cough up (plus certain performance bonuses) look like one of the snares of the window.

Though he had been a popular Fifa career mode pick for a number years following his prolific time with Twente, Ziyech really got the football world purring with his performances for Ajax during the 2018-19 season. In the famous side that beat the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid in the Champions League and gifted the world the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt, Zyiech netted 21 goals and registered 24 assists in just 49 appearances, with 16 of those goals and 17 of those assists coming in the league.

Even as this Ajax side was gradually picked apart, Ziyech still managed 8 goals and 21 assists from 35 games played during the 2019/20 season, putting a sublime performance against Chelsea in the Champions League when the two sides met at Stamford Bridge. Chance creation was a real issue for Frank Lampard's side last season, with only Pedro and Willian managing to average more than 2.00 key passes per ninety over the course of the campaign, and Ziyech could well prove to be the missing piece in turning Chelsea into potential Championship challengers.

Ziyech is also blessed with plenty of pace and a real powerful eye for goal, both of which should help him stand out in a league like England's top division.
