10 Popular UFC Fighters That Will Never Be Champion

6. Ian McCall

Flyweight, 13-4-1, Age 30 Known as €œUncle Creepy€, McCall was once known as the top ranked Flyweight in the world and was considered the favorite to win the tournament for the championship when the UFC introduced the class. He had two amazing jaw dropping wars against class kingpin and champion, €œMighty Mouse€ Demetrious Johnson during the tournament. The first was the infamous majority draw, scoring error fight, and the second was an Unanimous Decision for Johnson. Johnson then becomes a champion that can€™t be touched, and McCall finally gets his first UFC win over a year later, losing to other top contender Joseph Benavidez on the way. He is currently ranked #3 and there is virtually no mention of him facing the champ when title matches are being discussed. Uncle Creepy is already being overlooked for fighters ranked lower than him but with newer, sexier names. It is an unfortunate circumstance but maybe it has something to do with the public marital problems he had about a year ago. He is an amiable guy, and a great fighter, but the hard facts say that he peaked before the UFC and even when he gets another title shot, no one beats Might Mouse by decision.
