There is talk that Erik Lamela may actually be sold during the current window, after a torrid time in the Premier League since his arrival in 2013. The man dubbed Gareth Bale's replacement has looked too lightweight to play in England in spite of his obvious talent, and Lamela has managed only six goals in North London (albeit one of which was a spectacular rabona).

The winger scored 120 goals in one season as an 11 year-old at River Plate, and drew early comparisons in his native country to Diego Maradona. However, the Argentina man has struggled to live up to his £25.7m price tag his arriving from Roma.

This season is huge for Lamela, who could either show the world he is beginning to fulfil his unquestionable potential, or that he just isn't good enough to be one of the Premier League's finest talents.
