10 Premier League Transfers That Won't Happen This Summer
4. Javier Hernandez To Southampton
Javier Hernandez is another name linked with a move away from Manchester United as part of the summer 'exodus' under new manager Louis van Gaal. The poacher has been used sparingly under both the Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes administrations and started just three full games last season. And now, a number of English sides have been linked with 'Little Pea', including Southampton. Having sold Rickie Lambert this summer, the Saints are in need of a new striker and have identified Hernandez as a potential option. However, Chicharito is also wanted by Atletico Madrid and a move to the south coast is not thought to be high on his list of priorities. Given the option of playing in the Champions League and competing for the Spanish title at Atletico or turning out for a side whose ambition has been put into question by their barrage of player sales, this one would appear to be a no brainer and it's hard to see Hernandez at St Mary's.
