You've done so much planning, you looked at the form of the teams, you studied the table going into the game but it was just not enough, that team in 17th in the league are winning away at the current league leaders. You have sat there all afternoon watching Soccer Saturday or Final Score or listening to the scores on the radio. You've been tracking your matches the entire 90 minutes and this one, this one game has been agonising every time you hear an update and the team you backed just aren't scoring. Eventually the colour on their row on the score page changes, the final whistle has blown and its over, your bet has been let down by one match. The winnings you had already spent in your mind aren't there to spend now and you're left feeling utterly dejected- with a new found hatred for the club who let you down. It's not always as bad as it sounds though, mobile gamblers with William Hill often get their stake returned if an accumulator of 5 or more teams is let down by one so it could be worse. Nevertheless that free bet will never be as sweet as the winnings you almost had.
