10 Reasons Dana White Is Going To Want To Forget 2014

9. 2014 Was A Year Without Anderson Silva

David Becker/AP/Press Association ImagesDavid Becker/AP/Press Association ImagesA fluke leg break in his late December 2013 rematch with Chris Weidman saw Anderson Silva sitting out 2014. Fluke is maybe the wrong word, because Weidman checked the kick in a skilled defensive move, with disastrous results for the brazilian. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad if the UFC wasn't hurting for star talent right now. And Dana White will definitely want to forget it, in part because he made the situation worse by continually claiming that Silva would return to action in 2014, despite Silva consistently saying that he'd be back in early 2015 at the earliest. With over half the year gone, Silva has remained steadfast to the 2015 return date, and White has been a lot less vocal about Silva's early return lately. MMA's greatest star has been a big loss this year.
