10 Reasons Liverpool Will Win The Premier League This Year
4. Chelsea Rely Too Heavily On Diego Costa
Chelsea's 3-1 win over Burnley in their opening game of the season appears to have seen many already give them the title, despite 37 games still remaining. Admittedly they were highly impressive, with Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas bossing the midfield battle and Eden Hazard and Andre Schurrle both oozing class in wide areas. The key question is: what happens if star striker Diego Costa gets injured? The 25-year-old Brazilian-turned-Spaniard has already been hailed as the key reason why Jose Mourinho's side are so much stronger than in 2013/14. This is absolutely spot on. Last season they had the relatively inept striking trio of Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba at their disposal, and they scored less than 20 league goals between them. While it's fair to say the west London club will take some stopping should Costa stay fit all season, there is every chance this won't be the case. The former Atletico Madrid star has a history of being somewhat injury-prone, and if he suddenly misses a chunk of the campaign Mourinho will have to call on the hapless Torres. Admittedly the club has time to bring in another striker, but they if don't and Costa gets injured, their title odds will most certainly lengthen.
