Coutinho, meanwhile, is comfortably the most creative player at Liverpool, and possibly the most naturally gifted too. He can see a pass before most, has a wonderful ability to beat a man and dribble at pace, and is at an age where he is only going to get better. Luiz Felipe Scolari's decision not to select him in Brazil's squad for this summer's World Cup was absolutely astonishing, and he will surely be a fixture in their squad under Dunga for years to come.
