Spurs have just announced that they have officially brought in former Southampton scout Paul Mitchell as their new head of recruitment and analysis. Mitchell - a 33 year old former player - joined Southampton in 2012 and was responsible for the club unearthing and signing the likes of Graziano Pelle (pictured), Dusan Tadic and Sadio Mane, which helped the club rebuild after a mass player exodus in the summer of 2014. His signings have undoubtedly brought a good level of success to the club, as they finished eighth last season - when Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was still in charge at St. Mary's - and they currently sit an unprecedented second in the Premier League table. If he can transfer his skills to unearth the kind of players Spurs want to sign - and the kind of players who can perform in the Premier League - the future could be bright at White Hart Lane.
