10 Reasons Why Man City Fans Are Jealous Of Man United

9. The Trophies

The sheer dominance United have exerted since the old Division One became the Premier League is staggering. In 23 seasons, United have won the title 13 times. Their nearest competitors are Chelsea, who have managed to reach the summit on just 4 occasions. United are 4th in the all time list of trophies, only being bettered by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Manchester City can only look on in envy as their honours list doesn't really come close. They lag behind in 8th place in the league of most successful English clubs in history. How their fans would have loved to have been the main challengers to Liverpool's crown, a mantle taken up by Sir Alex's United. Instead they have had to settle for battling in the lower divisions, spending seasons away from the top and having to wait until 2010 to enjoy their best ever Premier League campaign, when they finished 5th.

Even the official club website recognises the struggles the fans have had to endure, stating 'let's be honest, following City can be a bit of a roller-coaster ride' (as per mcfc.co.uk). A struggle made all the more painful by United's continued prosperity.
