He also helped himself to 111 goals in 159 games along the way. However, his achievements between 2007 and 2011 aren't nearly as much as remembered as the shocking bite incident which occurred in November 2010. During a dull nil nil draw both Ajax and PSV players were arguing near the end of the match. Both sets of players surrounded the referee after an Ajax player got a red card for dangerous play. During this stop of play, Suarez suddenly gnashed his teeth on to the shoulder of PSV's Otman Bakal. The player was left in visible pain. The Dutch FA promptly responded with a 7 match ban, Suarez missing the next six league fixtures of the dutch season. It wasn't the player hurt by the loss though, Ajax were the ones who suffered, deciding a year later that off loading the troubled star was in their best interests.
