The only manager on this list, Harry Redknapp definitely deserves a place on it, as the manner of his departure was absolutely shocking. Redknapp took over as Spurs boss in October 2008, following the dismissal of Juande Ramos, and he had one hell of a job on his hands. The Lilywhites had gained only two points from the first eight games of the season prior to his arrival and were rock bottom of the Premier League, but Redknapp completely changed the club's fortunes, leading them to a League Cup final and an eighth placed finish in the league in that first season. He would then take them to fourth in the following season - which took the club into their first ever Champions League campaign, in which they did very well. A fifth place finish the following year was followed by yet another fourth place finish the year after that - but Spurs would be denied another Champions League assault thanks to sixth placed Chelsea winning the competition that year. Redknapp was sacked, which seemed ridiculously unfair, given that he had taken the club to their second fourth placed finish in four years and was only denied a second Champions League campaign due to mitigating circumstances.
