10 Spurs Goals That Were Downright Cheeky

6. Teddy Sheringham's Unorthodox Volley Vs Coventry City

Venue: Highfield Road. Season: 1996/97. Score: 2-1 Win. This goal actually looked like it might have been a mishit, but the fact that it was scored by the brilliant Teddy Sheringham means it definitely wasn't. A Ruel Fox corner was headed clear by Coventry, but Stephen Carr immediately headed it back into their box. The ball looped over the Coventry defence and into the path of Sheringham and, in very unorthodox style, he flicked it on the volley in to the bottom corner of Steve Ogrizovic's goal. Any other player would have smashed it - probably wide or over - but Sheringham's calmness and sheer cheekiness won the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6GoJbvN410
