10 Strikers Spurs Should Still Be Looking To Sign

9. Aron Johannsson

Aron Johannsson may seem like something of an obscure choice for this list - not least because he has no prior links with a transfer to Spurs - but the fact is he would be a very astute signing. Despite the fact that he has just been ruled out for over a month due to surgery on a groin injury, it would still be worth signing the United States international who plays his football in the Netherlands with AZ Alkmaar. Not only would it be good to see such a talented young striker with massive potential joining the White Hart Lane club - Johannsson is 23 years old, has scored 20 goals in 31 league starts for AZ and scored 21 goals in 37 league starts for Danish club Aarhus - it would further increase Spurs' popularity in America, which is already on the rise thanks to their pre-season tours over there, their affiliation with San Jose Earthquakes and their recent acquisition of DeAndre Yedlin, which could only be good for the club's finances and profile.
