Even though it often felt like we couldn't go a week without a new report suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way out of Real Madrid, a move away from the club still didn't seem like a realistic possibility.

At Madrid, he'd dominated La Liga alongside arch-rival Lionel Messi and he also lifted the illustrious Champions League trophy on four occasions with Los Blancos. Even his cryptic words post-2018 CL final win over Liverpool - where he referred to his time with Madrid in the past tense - felt like more of a negotiation tactic than a serious line being drawn under his time in Spain.

But it later became clear that Ronaldo's mind was already made up as he incredibly signed for Italian giants Juventus in July 2018. The fee of €100 million was the most ever paid for a player over 30, and proved just how serious 'The Old Lady' were about securing that elusive Champions League trophy.

In his two campaigns in Turin, CR7 has lifted the Serie A trophy above his head twice, but has still yet to lead Juventus to European glory.

With there now being talk of him potentially leaving Italy in the near future, does the 35 year-old have one more jaw-dropping move in him at this stage in his career?

You wouldn't put it past him...
