10 Things Liverpool Fans Need To Know About Adam Lallana

10. He Collects Personal Accolades

Tony Marshall/EMPICS SportTony Marshall/EMPICS SportThere's a good reason Lallana was and is considered a Southampton legend: since signing for the club at the age of 12, his progress has been steadily and impressively upward, in line with the fortunes of his team (aside from relegation in his break-through season on the south coast, of course), and he turned down the opportunity to leave the Saints when clubs were circling looking to take advantage of their talents after relegation. And as well as earning himself the accolade of Southampton fans' favourite, he's also picked up two nominations for Southampton Player Of The Year, winning last year, and losing out to Liverpool team-mate Rickie Lambert in 2012, as well as winning Saints' Fans' Player Of The Year for 2013/14. He is also the model of consistency, as in the last four seasons, Lallana has been named in three end of season teams of the year: the League One in 2010-11, the Championship in 2011-12 and for the Premier League last season, earning himself an England call up in the process.
