5. The Timbers Celebrate Goals In Bizarre Fashion... But At Least They Live Up To Their Name!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRiKHQKWfxA After entering the MLS, mascot "Timber Jim" retired - but he was replaced by "Timber Joey". The new official mascot continues the club's tradition of cutting a round from a large log by the side of the pitch every time the Timbers find the back of the net - and giving it to the goal-scorer. Interestingly, Timber Joey also performs the same task - in his own custom jersey - whenever the goalkeeper keeps a "shutout" (cleansheet). Just watch the video above of the celebration - it's bizarre but brilliant.
