10 Things Peyton Manning Wants You To Forget

6. His 2011 Injury Year

This isn't necessarily a year that he'll want fans to forget, but it's most certainly something that Manning himself will be desperate to forget. Manning's neck problems are well-documented, and in 2011, he had surgery that was intended to solve the injury. However, it was revealed that he would need a second, potentially career-ending operation. He underwent the procedure and lost a lot of arm strength and his throwing motion. The Colts went 2-14 that season, and used their overall first pick on Andrew Luck, as Manning was released. It was a bleak year for Manning, though he would bounce back with the Broncos.
