10 Things Ronda Rousey Must Do To Regain Her UFC Title

7. Find A New Coach And Team

Ronda Rousey's mother - herself a Judo champion, who drilled her daughter in the discipline at an early age - has come out and said that Rousey's head coach, Edmond Taverdyan, is a "terrible coach" and a "bad person." Thing is, she said that before Rousey lost at UFC 193. Sometimes, you really should listen to your mother. Teverdyan was overheard between rounds telling Rousey she was basically winning a fight she was drastically losing. Worse, he gave her terrible advice in telling her to keep doing what she was doing, and claimed all Holm had was "her left hand" without giving any advice on how to avoid it, never mind the fact that Holm has the skill set to switch stances. It's key to note that Taverdyan - who recently filed for bankruptcy and claims to have somehow made no money coaching the most famous fighter in the world - has trained virtually no one else of note (Jake Ellenberger and Travis Browne being basically the only exceptions, and neither have looked great of late). Recently, fellow UFC fighter Tim Kennedy became yet another fighter to suggest Rousey change camps, saying "There was coaching and then there was whatever happened with Ronda. I don't want to diminish that word and call it coaching because that's not what happened in Ronda's corner" during an interview with 1300 AM - The Zone. Rousey's Four Horsewomen, meanwhile, have all but fallen apart, and there seems to be a lack of talent at Taverdyan's gym for her to train with.
