6. The Toon's Travelling Support Is Out Of This World
https://twitter.com/NUFC/status/625275083427344384 Of the 12,002 supporters present at Bramall Lane for Chris Morgan's Sheffield United testimonial match-up against Newcastle, more than a sixth of those were Newcastle United fans. The travelling Toon Army took a staggering 2,207 fans to south Yorkshire on a wet and bleak Sunday afternoon in the middle of the school summer holidays - and all of them sang their hearts out and cheered the Newcastle side along throughout the entirety of the match. In fact, even Morgan described the Magpies supporters as "real fans" for making the journey down for a pre-season friendly. Despite all the turgid football witnessed and pain experienced during Newcastle's disastrous 2014-15 campaign, the Toon faithful still turn out in their hordes as always. Incredible support.
