In a fight that was originally slated to take place on the Fight Pass prelims before Max Holloway's injury led to a reshuffle, Lando Vannata takes on Drakkar Klose in a lightweight bout. Vannata burst on to the UFC scene after putting up a spirited effort against Tony Ferguson despite taking the fight on short notice. Since then, he has shown glimpses of brilliance, such as his knockout of John Makdessi, but has proven to be too hittable in his UFC career, and is yet to live up to his endless potential.

Drakkar Klose is a prospect in his own right, and showed in his win over then-undefeated Brit Mark Diakiese that he is more than capable of halting a hype train. In order to emerge victorious in this fight, Klose will need to survive the early onslaught of Vannata and implement the leg-kicks that were so effective against Diakiese.
