2. Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham Hotspur)

Another player, another link to Manchester United. Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld is entering the last year of his contract and is seems like the time might be right for Spurs to cash in on the Belgian while they still can.

The 29-year-old was a big presence at the back as Belgium made it all the way to the semi-finals. His defensive prowess was key throughout his country's campaign, especially in that superb 2-1 quarter final win against Brazil. The former Ajax man has been hugely impressive for Tottenham in the Premier League and could seamlessly slot into the starting eleven of almost any big club in Europe.

The Express state that Spurs boss Daniel Levy is holding out for at least £60 million for Alderweireld, but United are said to be eager to get a deal done. Barcelona, Man City, and PSG have also been connected with the Belgian, but his most likely destination is Old Trafford.
