10 Worst Decisions Alan Pardew Has Made As Newcastle Boss

4. Dedicating A Win To Mike Ashley

"We are together and this win is for Mike Ashley and all Newcastle fans, because believe it or not, he is a fan." Pardew calamitously remarked in the aftermath of a 2-0 victory over Chelsea. If leading his team to a second straight Tyne-Wear derby defeat just a week earlier hadn't put Pardew at odds with disillusioned Newcastle supporters then the daggers were almost certainly drawn when he committed the cardinal sin of dedicating the aforementioned win to Ashley in his post-match press briefing. Not exactly the sagacious approach to repairing the turbulent and continually strained relationship he shares with the Toon faithful win but, then again, it is textbook Pardew to sour a morale-boosting win by making that kind of comment. Out-of-tune and completely oblivious to the current climate on Tyneside. Will there ever be a time where he doesn't put his foot in it?
