6. Scott Sinclair (vs Man Utd, 2011)

Swansea's Scott Sinclair could have easily equalised for the Swans in their Premier League clash with Manchester United in 2011, yet somehow contrived to make a right old mess of this priceless opportunity to level the scores and was made to pay for it as United clung on to a 1-0 win at Liberty Stadium. Under pressure from the United defence, Wayne Routledge did extremely well to force his way through a heavy challenge and somehow cross the ball across the penalty area. With the hardest part done, all that was left was for Sinclair to keep a level head and slot home in front of an open goal with goalkeeper David de Gea stranded. Instead he somehow got the ball caught between both legs after appearing to try and flick the ball in, when a sure right footed drive would have sufficed. The ball flicked against his standing left foot and in the end he nutmegged himself as the ball trickled embarrassingly through his legs. It was a let off as United picked up the three points, while this wouldn't be the first time in 2011 that an attacker missed a sitter against the Red Devils...
