You might be forgiven for asking 'who?'.

The German forward of Ugandan descent joined the Hammers in 2009 for £9 million and was supposed to be the man to fill the shoes of the departing Craig Bellamy. However, ten games later and without a goal to his name, he was shipped off to Fiorentina in a deal worth less than €3 million.

The striker also failed to hit the ground running in Italy, not registering a single first-team appearance for La Viola, and in 2012 he faced trial in Germany for staging his own kidnapping.

The 27-year-old has recently been announced by amateur German side FC Pipinsried as he continues his dramatic fall from grace.
