It's been argued that Andre Santos is possibly one of Arsene Wenger's worst ever signings. Cutting a chubby figure, the Brazilian who moved to the Emirates for £6.2 million in 2011 only managed 24 appearances for the Gunners.

But, if not cutting it on the pitch wasn't bad enough, Santos became public enemy number one in North London when he stupidly swapped shirts at half-time with Robin van Persie, after the Dutchman had put Manchester United ahead.

With the pairing certainly not a match made in heaven, Santos found himself exiled to Gremio on loan before making a permanent exit to Flamengo. As it turned out, their fans weren't too impressed by the player either. In 2014, the defender was on the receiving end of a few blows by angry Flamengo fans after watching their team get trounced 4-0 by Internacional.
