Newcastle United are finally making the fans feel part of the club again. It's great to see. The Magpies are openly trying to reconnect with their bewildered fanbase, firstly by spending a lot of cash on what look to be exciting players, and secondly by drawing back the St James' Park curtains somewhat. Magpies 24/7 is a show that takes you behind the scenes at the club, showing you exactly what has gone on over a certain period of time. It's a genre that has worked well at other Premier League teams and will provide a level of transparency that even the most ardent anti-Ashley man will have to concede is good work by the club. One of the things outlined at the recent Fans Forum was how the club intended to improve their output via their dedicated online media channel NUFCTV, plans also looked to have been put in place to include the service within the price of a season ticket which would represent great value. Episode one of the new show took us through the first few days of pre season, and included interviews with new head coach Steve McClaren and one of his assistants, Paul Simpson.
