There may be a few more more naturally gifted, consistent stars on this list, but when Toure is fully switched on there is not a more destructive, unique player in the Premier League. The 31-year-old is just an incredible midfielder on his day, and although he was excellent for Barcelona prior to his move to City in 2010, the Catalan giants wasted him by playing him as a holding midfielder. He has shown during his time in England that he can run with the ball, beat players and score goals on a regular basis. When he is storming through the midfield, Toure's enormous frame, brute strength and underrated speed make him impossible to stop. Last season he scored 24 in just 49 matches; statistics that a top striker would be proud of. The Ivorian can sometimes appear a little sluggish and disinterested in games against smaller teams, but when the really big matches roll around he virtually always delivers. At 31, he is not getting any younger, and it is vital we enjoy his amazing talent while it's at its brilliant best.
