11 Best Players In The Premier League's Top 6 Teams
10. Daniel Sturridge
For a while, there were many who felt Sturridge would never quite live up his huge potential as a member of City's youth team. He failed to make the grade at the Etihad, and when he joined Chelsea he was invariably a squad player known for having a slightly questionable attitude. The talent was there, but was the hunger? Since Brendan Rodgers bought him to Liverpool in January 2013, however, the 24-year-old has been a revelation. Used in his preferred central role up front, rather than out wide, he has scored 36 goals in just 50 games for the Merseyside club. His finishing, movement and consistency have been up there with the best strikers in the Premier League in that time, while the on-pitch relationship he struck up with Luis Suarez last season was a joy to watch. Now very much the first-choice number nine for both Liverpool and England, Sturridge is at the perfect age where he can kick on, continue improving and become a world-class player once he reaches his peak. He is underrated by some.
