11 Best Players In The Premier League's Top 6 Teams

9. Robin Van Persie

A lot of United's success this season will depend of the form of Van Persie. The Netherlands international was not at his best last season, mainly because of injury problems, and it clearly affected the side's form during the ill-fated reign of David Moyes. Although now 31, Van Persie is still a player very much at the peak of his powers. Pace has never been a key part of his game, so a slight loss in that area is no issue, and his wonderful finishing, eye for the spectacular and ability to bring others into play are still almost as good as anyone in Europe. Holland's all-time leading scorer was sensational in 2011/12 and 2012/13, for Arsenal and United respectively, scoring 67 times in those two years. He was the key player at both clubs without a shadow of a doubt. Van Persie will be raring to go under his former international manager Louis van Gaal, and if he fires there is every chance United will ensure a much-needed top four finish in 2014/15.
