11 Extremely Talented Premier League Footballers That Were Ruined By Injuries

2. Louis Saha

After Louis Saha banged in 32 goals in his debut season in England, it was quite clear he was a remarkable talent. The Frenchman scored 63 goals in three-and-a-half very successful seasons with Fulham, which led Sir Alex Ferguson to sign him in January 2003.

Though he managed at least 12 league appearances in each of the five seasons he spent at Old Trafford, Saha never really got going. Constant knee and hamstring injuries hindered his momentum, and he never managed to get into double figures in the Premier League with Manchester United.

Saha then joined Everton on a pay-as-you-play deal, and even agreed to train for free whilst he built up his fitness. Though his time on Merseyside wasn't necessarily disappointing, it wasn't spectacular either. The striker went on to have spells with Tottenham, Sunderland and Lazio before retiring in 2013.

Injury prevented Saha from ever hitting the heights he was capable of, and he managed only four goals in 20 appearances for France. Had he remained injury free, the striker could have easily fit in among Europe's elite - with Wayne Rooney once claiming Saha was his favourite player he's ever played with.
