11 Players Who Will Win England The World Cup In 2018

3. Jay Rodriguez

Rodriguez was among the many key stalwart English players from Southampton€™s eye-catching 2013/14 season. Based on how rapidly they are selling their top assets currently, if he wasn't injured he probably would have been gone also, but they're lucky - in some ways - that he's not fit. Up until his injury that ended his season in March, only Sturridge and Rooney scored more goals by an Englishman, and he would have gone to Brazil if he had been fit. If only he was fit, he certainly would have been a better goal-scoring, striker option than Danny Welbeck. His return from that anterior cruciate ligament injury should see continue his progress as one of England main forward options in the coming years, and his return will be a major boost for Southampton as they look to dispel fears that their season has over before it started thanks to their summer transfer programme.
