11 Things Newcastle Fans Need To Know About Sacramento Republic

2. During The 2014 USL Campaign, Sacramento Broke The Regular Season Record League Attendance

After setting a new USL record of 20,231 for a sell-out crowd in their first ever home match in April 2014 - then played at the Hughes Stadium, before their current ground was completed - they then averaged more than 8,000 fans every game bar one for their matches at Bonney Field. In fact, that number smashed the previous record attendance of 112,748 achieved by Orlando City SC - proving just how popular a club the Republic are and how "soccer"-mad the city of Sacramento is.
