2. He Has Refused To Deny Speculation Linking Him With The Toon Job... And Admits He Would Love To Manage In The Premier League
Newcastle are not the only side who could potentially be in the Premier League next season to be linked to Jemez - with Championship play-offs hopefuls Brentford also contemplating replacing current boss Mark Warburton with the Spaniard. Interestingly, when asked about rumours linking him to the Magpies on Thursday, Jemez responded:
The Premier League is a nice place, where football evolves very rapidly and is a step up in economic potential. Its a different mentality and culture. I would like to manage there someday, but I do not know when I will. I still have not made a decision on my future.
That effectively leaves the door open for him to move to England in the near future - and possibly to Tyneside - particularly with his contract up at Rayo Vallecano in the summer.
