That he chose to come out at that moment wasn't all that surprising, considering the financial stakes, but what he said was nothing short of astonishing.

Not only did he proclaim that the club wasn't for sale at any price, but he also claimed that the agenda was "now definitely to win something" and that money would be spent to that end.
