6. Gaƫl Kakuta (Hebei China Fortune)
Kakuta was touted as a possible star of the future when he signed for Chelsea as a youth team player in 2007. Michael Ballack said of the youngster after they'd played a reserve game together: "Go see the French lad, he is the star." He never quite made it. In an eight-year spell at Chelsea, Kakuta made only six first team appearances - incidentally the same number of loan spells he had during that time. He eventually moved on to Sevilla last year, but managed only two league appearances during his time in Spain. Hebei China Fortune came in for the former France U21 international earlier this month, with Sevilla more than happy to let him leave.
